Lab Assistant Needed for Denture Clinic

Job Overview
Cranbrook Denture Clinic is urgently seeking a full-time lab assistant to cover an 18-month parental leave. The job consists of 32 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday, with every weekend being a long weekend! There is potential for the right candidate to remain in the position in a permanent capacity if it’s the right fit. Experience with administration in a health care setting is an asset but not a requirement.

Successful candidates will have the following skills:
– Ability to work well with their hands, with a special eye for detail
– Must be a quick learner and able to work under tight deadlines
– Previous dental experience is an asset (i.e. dental assistant; dental reception; or other dental laboratory experience). However, we are willing to train the right person for the job.

Duties include:
-Fabricating all types of dentures from scratch, including working with stone and plaster; acrylics and carving wax.
