Safety and Compliance Officer in trucking company

YU Express is a reputable and growing trucking company dedicated to maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage safety policies and procedures in line with federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Provide training and guidance to drivers and staff on safety protocols and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate records of safety and compliance activities, including incident reports, inspections, and training logs.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure the company is always in compliance.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a safety and compliance role within the trucking or transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve safety performance.
Certification in safety management or a related field is a plus.
