Seasonal Snow Removal and Landscaping Services needed

Focus Cleaning is a customer-oriented janitorial and cleaning company. We strive to provide the best cleaning service, with a certified professional team, to ensure a comfortable and clean environment for both workers and customers.

We are managing a company premises in Pickering. We are looking for a subcontractor for the following service spanning one year. The needed services are explained in detail as given below.

Work Scope for Seasonal Snow Removal and Landscaping Services. To furnish equipment, material and labour for the services indicated below

WINTER SEASON

1. Plow roadways and parking areas
2. Areas to be cleared include entrance ways, exits, driveways, loading areas and parking areas
3. Snow clearing to commence upon accumulation of 2” or more of snow occurring any day of the week including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
4. During daytime snowfall, every attempt should be made to clear areas as per item 2 on a regular basis to allow vehicle access. Final clean up should begin when the snowfall has ended.
5. During an overnight snowfall, every attempt should be made to have snow cleared by 6 am.

Hand Clearing and Salting

1. Clear doorways, walkways and city walks. Apply salt/de-icing material to doorways and walkways.
2. Apply salt to roadways, parking areas and walkways.
3. Monitor area to be salted once every 24 hours when condition warrants, inspecting for snow and ice accumulation.
4. Refill salt boxes as required.

SPRING CLEANUP

1. Spring cleanup begins in April
2. Services include complete cleanup of lawn and garden areas.
3. Prepare property by cleaning all debris left over from winter including leaves and twigs.
4. Lawn should be mowed if required.
5. Garden beds to be edged and cultivated
6. All garden waste should be removed and all hard surfaces areas blown clean.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE SERVICE

1. Mowing to be completed weekly or as needed from the beginning of April until the middle of October.
2. Lawn to be cut at an approximate height of 2 to 3 inches based on turf type and site conditions.
3. Turf edges should be trimmed neatly around beds, trees, fences, walls, utility poles and fire hydrants.
4. Walkways and sidewalks to be vertically edged for a neat appearance.
5. Hard Surfaces should be blown clean at the end of each visit.
6. Litter to be picked up prior to mowing

GARDENING MAINTENANCE SERVICES

1. Garden beds should be weeded and cultivated on a weekly basis
2. Services to include pruning and shearing of shrubs and trees (up to 8 feet in height)
3. Perennials should be deadheaded after flowering.
4. Removing dead or diseased wood as required
5. Turf fertilization
6. Mulch garden beds, installing natural mulch to a depth of 3 inches.
