Security Guard – Corporate Events (Smart Serve Certified)

We are seeking Smart Serve Certified Security Guards for corporate events on a weekly basis for our client in Downtown Toronto. You will have a flexible schedule and be available sometimes at short notice. You have strong customer service acumen with ability to resolve issues with a diverse background of individuals. You have or be willing to obtain a Smart Serve Certification.

Position Overview:

Wages: $23.16/hr

Shift timings: (Days and Evenings)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor corporate events where there is consumption of alcohol, keeping and restoring order during such events.
• De-escalate any and all situations involving client employees and visitors ensuring the safety of all attendees.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed..
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Perform foot patrols within the event area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 3 years of security experience minimum preferably with corporate events.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Smart Serve Certification or be willing to obtain.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
