Our client, a leading firm in the industrial sector, is seeking a Director of Operations to join their team. As the Director of Operations, you will be integral to ensuring successful project delivery and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, communication skills, experience in smelters and a deep commitment to organizational goals.

Job Title: Director of Operations
Location: Kitimat, British Columbia
Pay Range: Competitive salary with overtime opportunities

What’s the Job?

  • Project Planning: Lead detailed project planning, including setting objectives, defining deliverables, and estimating timelines and resources.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate human, material, and financial resources to meet project goals within the set timeframe.
  • HSE Health Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, participate in HSE activities, and engage in accident investigations.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate activities of various teams, including production, procurement, and logistics.
  • Monitoring and Control: Regularly monitor project progress, address deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.

What’s Needed?

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, with smelter experience preferred
  • Bilingual (French/English) or English-only proficiency
  • Flexible working hours and availability as needed
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in health, safety, and environmental management
