Production supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Brampton, ON
Rate of Pay: $23-26/hr (Depends on Experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in Brampton. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing daily activities within the department, with a focus on optimizing production processes and ensuring a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve quality and cost objectives.
Lead and support team members in productivity, health, safety, training, and quality assurance.
Address safety issues, worker concerns, and conduct inspections to minimize incidents.
Enforce company policies through effective coaching and progressive discipline.
Maintain the integrity of the perpetual inventory system and participate in monthly inventory counts.
Ensure on-time deliveries by managing work-in-progress (WIP) effectively.
Improve the inspection process through hands-on training and regular monitoring.
Manage inventory of consumable parts and keep the department organized and clean.
Collaborate with the Production Manager on defect management and digital reporting processes.
Assess machinery and equipment conditions to maintain a safe workplace.
Qualifications:

2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and improve equipment.
Hands-on leadership style with the capability to enhance team productivity and safety.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle plant and personnel processes.
Proficient in computer software including scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.
Ethical, accountable, and dependable with strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and respond urgently to emergencies.
Excellent attendance and organization skills.
Work Environment:

Typical manufacturing/factory/industrial setting.
Noisy environment with continuous processes.
Fast-paced and deadline-oriented; must work well under pressure.
Hours of Work:

Day Shift: 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
Overtime available; some Saturdays may be required depending on workload.
