Building Superintendent

Job Overview
We are seeking a Building Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the building and its systems.

You have experience both overseeing and personally doing various types of repairs & maintenance and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty to get things done. If you see a problem to fix, it gets fixed right away.

You have hands on skills with painting, drywall repair, and basic understanding of plumbing and electrical.

Duties
• Be on-site to handle tenant requests during the day.
• Oversee staff onsite to keep property clean and prompt repairs.
• Oversee contractors onsite to handle renovations.
• Handle some cleaning and repairs yourself as needed,
• Perform seasonal work as required such as gardening, snow removal (shoveling and salting).
• Assist with the move in and move out of tenants.
• Build positive tenant relations and communications.
• Communicate with Tenants regarding issues.
• Post notices.
• Prevent unwanted visitors to the properties.
• Assist with administrative duties.

Skills
• Friendly but firm attitude.
• Proficiency in overseeing small teams.
• Experience with property management software for maintenance tracking.
