Part Time Building Maintenance Worker in Guelph

Maintenance person required

We have a position available to tend to everyday maintenance and upkeep at a townhouse complex in Guelph . The position calls for two (2) days a week in Guelph (Thursday and Friday) 15 hours per week. There is sometimes a call for extra time worked if we are completing a special project or occasionally for after-hours emergencies. This is a perfect position for someone who is wanting to work a shorter week or wants to be semi-retired.

 Secondary school diploma (trade certificates an asset)
 proven experience in minor plumbing, carpentry, general repair work, janitorial practices
 Mechanical knowledge of HVAC
 General maintenance – jack of all trades
 General cleaning and completing unit turnover repairs
 Knowledge of Fire safety systems, W.H.M.I.S., health and safety procedures
 Complete work orders and assist with capital projects
 Ability to lift 50 pounds
 Ability to work at heights (training provided)
 Able to read and write in fluent English and complete work orders, reports, etc.
 Successful completion of Criminal Reference Check
 Good people and communication skills dealing with a diverse group of people
 Must have own tools, reliable vehicle with liability insurance and valid driver’s license.
