Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description:
Currently recruiting for the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work out of Timmins and surrounding areas. The Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, training and troubleshooting on equipment in the field.

Responsibility & Work Activities:
• Ability to diagnose faults or malfunctions. Adjust, repair, or replace all defective mining and material handling equipment parts, components or systems serviced within the field at various customer locations.
• Ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics; display extensive knowledge and understanding of equipment
• Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work in the customer field environment

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a fully licensed Heavy Duty Service Technician
• The successful candidate must provide their own tools. Customized tools to be provided by company
• Responsible and trustworthy with a good safety and driving record
• Conformance to the organization policies and procedures regarding (ISO 9001) a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills & outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Reporting directly to the Service Manager.
