AZ / DZ Operator

Glenview Iron and Metal is seeking a DZ / AZ Driver to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
The DZ / AZ Driver is responsible for safely delivering and picking up different types of containers, picking up cars for recycling to service our valued customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for completing a pre and post inspection of the vehicle each day before and after operating.
• Responsible for documenting all inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and in clean and proper working order.
• Responsible for reporting any and all safety and environmental issues immediately to immediate supervisor.
• Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and working in a variety of work and weather conditions.
• Minor truck maintenance (adding oils, fueling).
• Check containers for damage before delivery and pick-up, report all unsafe items to supervisor immediately.
• Ensure that cars being picked up for recycling are done is a safe and legal manner.
• Ensure that all loads are properly secured for safe transportation.
• Check the loads are free from any hazardous materials.
• Use correct Glenview Iron and Metal loading and unloading/dumping procedures.
• Clean all debris off of truck bed.
• Follow all Glenview Iron and Metal safety and guidelines in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities.
The Ideal candidate will:
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not necessary.
• A minimum of 1 year driving experience is preferred
• Lugger, Roll Off or Tow truck experience for commercial trucks is preferred
• Applicant must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude for this FAST-PACED industry.
• In order to be considered, you must have a clean driving record. Must possess a CLEAN CVOR Abstract and Driver Abstract.
• Required to possess a full and valid DZ or AZ.
• Experience in scrap metal haulage is useful but not necessary.
• A trustworthy, dependable self-starter who is team and goal oriented is required!
