Reflective Sign maker/warehouse labourer

ROADWAY TRAFFIC SUPPLIES Ltd. is an Avery Dennison Certified Sign Fabricator that produces top-quality graphics, signage products, and accessories. A family-owned business is one of Atlantic Canada’s Sign manufacturers specializing in Municipal and Construction signage along with traffic products and not limited to other signage found in sign shops. We have an opening for a Sign Maker/Labourer. We are looking for a team player who is motivated, reliable, and can perform all duties found in a sign shop and works well with others.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Learn the use of equipment as necessary
• Experience with power tools, hydraulic shear, puncher and corner rounder, and panel & mitre saw, etc.
• Ability to work independently with strong self-management and with a team
• You must pay attention to the details
• Able to perform shipping/receiving duties, including operating a forklift
• Able to stand for long periods
• Able to keep track of inventory and have details of production.
• Able to communicate well with owners to keep raw materials inventory.
• Maintaining, organizing and preparing substrates for vinyl application
• Measuring with measuring tape and Cutting sign substrates
• Picking/packaging orders for shipping

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Written and spoken competence in both English would be an asset
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A resume or cover letter must show at least two years of experience in the related manufacturing type of business. If not shown, the candidate will be rejected.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
• Time management, ability to organize and work on multiple projects at one time
• Positive attitude
• Physical work required able to lift 75 pounds
• Self-motivated, taking pride in even the most minor task
• Experience and hands-on knowledge in digital printing, vinyl cutting and laminating
• PER HOUR, depending on the experienced candidate.
