Full job description
CPA/CGA/CA (can be a retired CPA/CGA/CA who still wants to work part-time if required).
Accountant required on contract basis or as an employee for multiple clients to prepare
Notice To Readers (NTR). Prepare Financial Statements. Prepare T2.
This can be remote or in office.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end Notice to Reader working paper files and financial statements.
Preparation of corporate tax returns.
Analysis of certain financial information in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to: bank and credit card account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, shareholder loan activity, balance sheet, income statement, trial balance.
Calculate CCA, Income Tax, Adjusting Journal Entries

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
Post-secondary education in accounting CPA/CGA/CA. (Can be a retired CPA/CGA/CA who still wants to work part-time if required).

Experience with bookkeeping and accounting (at least 2-3 years).
Experience with payroll and GST/HST.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word).
Experience in public accounting.
Experience with and majority of files on Sage 50 Simply Accounting software, some QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Experience in CaseWare Working Papers, CaseView, and Jazzit.
Experience in corporate year-end file preparation
Experience with Profile Tax prep software an asset to prepare T2.
Experience with cloud-based applications and other accounting software an asset
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Possess high standards for client work and operational excellence
Ability to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands, deadlines, and multiple tasks as required
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
Work remotely or in office.
