Job Title: Barista and Cashier Contractor for Lansdowne Christmas Market
Location: Lansdowne Xmas Market, Ottawa, Ontario
Duration: Contractual 25 days available (weekend from November 22 to January 5)
Compensation: $18/hour plus tips
Join our festive team this holiday season at the Lansdowne Christmas Market! MacLeod’s Coffee Co. is seeking independent and energetic contractors to fill our positions for Barista and Cashier Contractors. If you love the holiday spirit and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!

Roles Available:
• Barista: You will prepare and serve third wave coffee and other drinks while maintaining high standards of quality and speed. Your ability to handle the elements and service high volumes with a smile will make you a perfect fit.
• Cashier: You will manage transactions with accuracy and provide customers with a positive purchasing experience at our busy booth. Your ability to handle the elements and service high volumes with a smile will make you a perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Prepare beverages quickly and accurately, adhering to quality standards.
• Manage cash and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the booth.
• Setup and breakdown of the booth each day.
Requirements:
• Proven barista skills a plus but not necessary for P.O.S. work
• Excellent customer service and communication skills. English fluency is important here.
• Punctuality and the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Commitment to work evenings and weekends from November 22 to January 5. (The more available the more preferred you’ll be)
• Ability to withstand cold weather conditions and handle potential travel disruptions due to winter weather.
• Can provide their own transportation while maintaining start times.
Contractor Note:
• Contractors will be paid $18/hour plus tips, via cash or e-transfer.
• Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
Schedule Note:
• The booth will be closed on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve, but will be open on Boxing Day and New years Eve.
Note:
• Please be aware that parking is not provided. Contractors will need to arrange their own transportation to and from Lansdowne.
