Nova Wood Products is hiring Custom Woodworkers!

This position requires knowledge of different types of woods, woodworking machinery and joinery, and will be responsible for building custom wood parts and cabinets.
Main functions include accurately measuring, cutting, shaping and building custom wood parts..

Responsibilities
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of parts to be made
• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, shapers and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners
• Apply veneer/laminate to products
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials

Competencies
• Able to read drawings, measure accurately and lay out work
• Able to operate woodworking machinery in a safe manner
• Able to follow company quality standards

Requirements and Qualifications
• Proven experience as a cabinet maker in a wood manufacturing environment. (3 year of experience)
• Proficiency in woodworking techniques such as assembly, construction, and blueprint reading
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements

Work Environment/ Other Requirements
• On site manufacturing warehouse position
• Ability to work within a team setting
• References required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 40 per week
