Aramark is recruiting a full-time Catering Manager further develop and lead catering and conference event services at Memorial University. The Catering Manager is a leadership position which leads all aspects of catering solutions and special events. This position will lead the Catering team to complete events or catering delivery requests in line with customer expectations and service standards.

Job Responsibilities

?    Receive incoming requests for catered services, input into CaterTrax catering program
?    Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from BEO?s.
?    Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers? needs
?    Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
?    Conduct campus outreach to various departments to market Aramark?s catering service
?    Attend community events or reach out to community to market Aramark?s catering services
?    Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
?    Train and lead catering employees to ensure event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
?    Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event.
?    Meet with the Executive Chef regarding special requests or large events
?    Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
?    Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
?    Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
?    Oversee Bar Operations, including bar orders and weekly inventory
?    Follow on-site allergen guidelines

Qualifications

?    A valid Newfoundland driver?s license is required for occasional use of fleet vehicle
?    Post-secondary degree or diploma in culinary, hospitality or business is an asset
?    Minimum 2 years? experience in a similar role
?    Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
?    Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering is required
?    Previous experience in marketing or sales within the hospitality or retail sector is preferred
?    Must be reliable with effective time-management skills to be able to work autonomously
?    Available to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends
?    Must have excellent communications skills
?    Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
?    Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
?    Ability to stand for extended periods of time
