Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and troubleshoot malfunctions effectively and efficiently.
• Repair or replace defective parts and equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately for compliance and tracking.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure machinery operates smoothly and safely.
• Stay updated on new technologies and methods to enhance mechanical processes.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or food production setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, if necessary.
$38-$42/hour
