DZ/AZ Concrete Truck Driver

Veromix Concrete & Stone is local supplier of quality ready mix concrete and stone with locations in Smithville and Hamilton Ontario. We are looking to add enthusiastic, qualified individuals to our team. The position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete and stone to residential, commercial and government customers.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver concrete & stone to customers in a safe manner.
Loading, unloading and cleaning of equipment
Communicate openly with dispatch to ensure high standards of customer service
Delivering outdoors in all seasonal weather.
Complete a circle check of the vehicle daily before driving and complete daily logs as required.
Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Maintains appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Performs minor repairs to truck as needed.
Completes all paperwork that may be necessary; assist with plant work as required by plant management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of related experience preferred
Must possess a valid Class AZ or DZ license in good standing.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Excellent driving skills, able to drive manual
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
