DZ Driver/Loader

Location: Belleville, ON
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday,

Shift: 6 AM start (10-to-12-hour shifts)
Pay: $24.50 per hour

We are seeking motivated, hard-working individuals with a valid DZ license to join our team as Drivers/Loaders. Be part of a team that contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable future!

Key Responsibilities:
– Drive and Collect: Operate trucks with automatic transmission to collect solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables along assigned routes (routes may vary daily).
– Inspections & Reporting: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete truck reports, route sheets, and necessary documentation.
– Vehicle Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues to the mechanic or supervisor immediately.
– Safe Operation: Follow safety protocols to prevent mechanical failures and ensure efficient operations.
– Compliance: Adhere to national, provincial, and local vehicle operation regulations.
– Cleanliness: Maintain clean vehicles inside and out.
– Teamwork: Attend daily safety meetings and collaborate with team members.
– Work Balance: Balance driving and physical labour (50/50 split).

Requirements:
– Experience: 1-2 years of DZ/AZ driving experience required. We are looking for experienced drivers (no newly licensed drivers).
– License: Valid DZ and/or AZ License with a clean driver’s abstract.
– Physical Stamina: Ability to lift/move up to 80 lbs regularly.
– Adaptability: Willing to work in all weather conditions, year-round.
– Equipment Familiarity: Knowledge of collection equipment is a plus.
