Part time pharmacy assistant

We are looking for an energetic and friendly candidate for permanent part-time pharmacy assistant position for our busy pharmacy. You must be willing to work on weekends and weekday shift as needed.

Your main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Assist the Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Maintain patient and drug information files
• Ensure that prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather all necessary information from patient and ensure completeness of information
• Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
• Help manage pharmacy inventory
• Answer phone calls in courteous manner
• Help customers at cash register for transactions and in finding products in store
• Help keep front shop area nice and clean, arrange all products on the shelf as per planograms, order new items, print shelf labels etc.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year working as a pharmacy assistant is an asset but not compulsory
• Kroll software knowledge is preferrable
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and math skills
• Self-directed and work well with others in a team
• Provide best customer service and phone courtesy
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work Mon to Fri or on weekends as per needs of our pharmacy
• Knowledge of operating cash register and taking payments
