AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN

SIMPILICITY CAR CARE WOODSTOCK seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join their team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition.

Responsibilities:
– Perform auto body repairs and restoration on damaged vehicles. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt weld replacement parts into place
– Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle surfaces. Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components.
– Repair or replace damaged body panels. File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
– Align and repair structural damage. Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
– Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking
– Mix and apply paint to achieve a seamless finish. Apply primers and repaint surfaces
– Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs
– Inspect completed work for quality assurance

Qualifications:
– Previous experience as an Auto Body Technician
– Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair techniques
– Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
– Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
– Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience working in automotive repair shop
