Oxford Frozen Foods has a seasonal opportunity for a Forklift Operator, located in Oxford, NS. This position reports to the Shipping & Receiving Department Head.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently, operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials and products within the warehouse or production facility.
- Load and unload goods from trucks or storage areas, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any issues or malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that materials are stored in designated locations and pathways are clear of obstructions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience operating a Forklift
- Basic computer skills, all forklifts are equipped with an onboard computer for barcode scanning information

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Possess a sense of urgency with high attention to detail
- Maintain clean work areas
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to work rotating shifts

- React to green wastes (wasted energy and water, air leaks, product leaks etc.) by submitting work orders for immediate repair
