We are seeking a Security Receptionist for our client site in Victoria, BC.

As a Security Receptionist, you will be working to make the world of one of the largest global organizations safe, conducting patrols, searches, administering badges and delivering outstanding customer service to our client and their employees. Please note that the clothing attire for this role is Concierge related.

PAY RATE: $24

SCHEDULE: 40HWP Monday to Friday 0800-1600

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet, greet and assist visitors, employees and vendors in a professional and friendly manner ensuring correct passes are issued, accurate information recorded and relevant messages/information conveyed
  • Answer incoming calls in accordance with site policies
  • Assist in the issuance of badges, ensuring that security policies are followed
  • Work alongside both the onsite security and facilities team to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and employees onsite
  • Act as the point of contact for security and ad-hoc requests onsite
  • Assist with stationary stocks, post room duties and event management (where applicable in accordance with site specific instructions)
  • Use and be competent in onsite access control systems
  • Detect and prevent unauthorised access
  • Badge administration (may include creating, printing, distributing, taking photos, auditing inventory – where applicable in accordance with site specific instructions)
  • Vendor escorting
  • Key Management
  • Accurately and to a high standard, report incidents (may include maintenance, health & safety, first aid, emergency or other incident types)
  • Asset protection
  • Provide consistently high levels of customer service
  • Frequently conduct site patrols
  • Complete continuous training and development activities
  • Seek to enhance the security stature of the site by recommending innovations and new way of working to site management
  • Represent our client and Securitas in a way that maintains the standards, brand and values of both
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Ability to work with integrity and primarily on an independent basis
  • Previous experience in concierge, hosting, client management, office management or a front of house security role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong general IT ability
  • Strong organisation, communication and organisation skills
  • Proactive approach to all activities
  • Valid provincial Security Guard License
  • Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
  • Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
  • Experience working within the corporate security sector preferred
