Sterilization Assistant plus Dental Receptionist/ Administrator needed for Established West Toronto Practice (Bloor St W and Jane St)
We are an established but growing family dental practice in West Toronto (at Bloor St W and Jane St) with 4 chairs (1 dentist, 2.5 hygienists) looking for a friendly, flexible, easy-going, eager-to-learn receptionist ideally with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in reception (but not required), interested in getting into the dental field as a receptionist and sterilization assistant. The position will be split between front desk and back clinical area.
The main responsibility will be in the clinical area: assisting the head dental assistant with reprocessing dental instruments and dental operatory room turnover on 4 clinician days (Wednesday, Friday)
When not needed to help in the clinical area, you will be responsible for helping with front desk duties: recare calls, submitting treatment planning, referrals and intake of specialist reports, dental predeterminations, billing and dealing with dental insurance when not needed for clinical duties.
You will be required to cover the reception area when the lead receptionist is off and basic dental assisting duties when the lead dental assistant is off.

Any non-dental applicant will be required to obtain their certification in IPAC and Reprocessing of Medical Devices by completing a set of online modules.
Some flexibility with required Hours (maximum 7.0 h/ day), which will start on this schedule once fully trained:
Monday 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM/ 7:15 PM
Tuesday: 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
Wednesday: 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM
Thursday: 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
Friday: 7:15 AM to 12:15 PM
Position start date: As soon as possible
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office, data entry, and clerical tasks
Strong customer service skills with experience in front desk operations
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
QuickBooks knowledge and office experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Medical or dental office experience a plus
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle filing and administrative tasks efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
