Looking for a caring and reliable nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello! My name is Stella, and we are looking for a nanny to join our little family in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have an adorable 4.5-month-old baby, and we need a caring, responsible, and reliable nanny to help us take care of our little one on a part-time/full-time basis. The position is live-out and includes some light housekeeping and meal prep. CPR certification is a must. We will also request a criminal record check (vulnerable sector check) and references from your previous employer(s) if applicable.
I work full-time at the hospital with a fluctuating schedule, including scattered overnight calls. My husband, Albert, works from home as a full-time software engineer and often covers on-call duties.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about childcare and has experience with newborns. However, we highly value a great personality, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn more than experience alone. The ideal candidate must be reliable, patient, and able to create a safe and nurturing environment for our baby. They should also be able to accommodate our weekly fluctuating schedule and short-notice changes. Additionally, they should be comfortable with our use of video surveillance for safety. Having a driver’s license and your own vehicle is a big plus. Responsibilities will include feeding, putting the baby to bed, and engaging the baby in stimulating activities to support their development.

The ideal start date would be December 1, 2024, but it is flexible depending on how well we connect. If we believe you are the best fit for our family, we may consider sponsorship. Wage is negotiable.
