Daytime caregiver / housekeeper needed for Wed and Fri

An experienced Housekeeper / Caregiver needed for a family with a mom in a wheelchair.

Wednesdays and Fridays, minimum of 4 hours (with a break for lunch if desired).
Start at 10am. End to be agreed upon.

Location: Fortye Dr, Peterborough (near Fleming College).
Salary: $23 – $25 per hour.
Start: as soon as possible.
Training on my care will be provided.

Duties:
Cooking dinner for the family.
Giving me water and feeding me.
Transferring me from my wheelchair to the toilet (pivot transfers).
Some kitchen cleanup and other food prep.

Requirements:
Strong common sense.
Good cooking and housekeeping skills.
Physical strength to use pivot transfers
To be able to lift me from my wheelchair and safely support me when I’m standing, you have to weigh at least 140 lbs yourself. I am 5’2″ and about 95-100 lbs.

It is important that you are familiar with meat cooking techniques.

My personal care:
I am a 47 year old woman in a wheelchair, with both arms and legs paralyzed due to my illness. I live with my husband and 3 school age daughters. I need someone to help me with all my daily activities and to help me take care of my home and family.

I am almost nonverbal due to my illness. I use a computer device to communicate, body language, language shortcuts, spelling and a letter board.

I am very sensitive to all chemicals and perfumes. It is essential that you can come to my home not wearing any fragrances on your body or clothes.
