  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
  • or equivalent experience
  • Diagnostic medical sonography/sonographer and ultrasound technician
  • Diagnostic radiology residency programs

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Analyze the patient during the treatments
  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
  • Supervise other specialized sonographers
  • Supervise students in training
  • Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required
  • Train students or other medical sonographers
  • Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment
  • Provide personnal asistance to patients during treatments
  • Prepare examination reports for physicians
  • Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification
  • Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration
