Job Description: Scrap Metal Yard Supervisor
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations and manage our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in identifying various metals and scrap materials.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and coordinate staff activities
•Accurately identify and categorize ferrous, non-ferrous, and other metal types
•Ensure proper sorting, processing, and storage of scrap materials
•Maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations
•Manage inventory and coordinate with buyers and sellers
•Train staff on metal identification and handling procedures
•Oversee equipment maintenance and yard cleanliness
Requirements:
•5 years experience in scrap metal industry
•Proven expertise in identifying various metals and scrap materials
•Strong leadership and communication skills
•Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental guidelines
•A license to operate a Fork lifter is a must.
•Ability to operate relevant machinery and equipment
