Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which employs 3,600 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Waterville, NS.
The Physiotherapist will lead and manage progress in the plant related to injury prevention. This role requires a proactive approach to injury prevention and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and health. Join us in supporting the physical health of our valued team members.
Responsibilities:
This position requires the successful candidate to ensure safety and health through injury prevention. Job responsibilities include:
- Assess musculoskeletal injuries for work-related incidents and consult as needed for non-work related injuries;
- Monitor injury trends and recommend actions to reduce risk;
- Complete shop floor assessments;
- Provide recommendations for accommodations;
- Employee education;
- Meeting with patients to assess what their physical challenges are and deciding on suitable treatment programs;
- Monitoring the progress of patients and adjust or change treatments as needed;
- Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, such as Occupational Therapists and General Practitioners and refer patients as needed;
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient case notes and reports;
- Staying up to date regarding new physiotherapy technologies and techniques;
- Working with other on-site medical staff;
- Initiating and participating in evidence-based projects to improve the quality of patient care;
- Provide input on projects related to ergonomic improvements, and;
- Aligning with government physiotherapy regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
Assets:
- Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, and;
- 1-2 years clinical experience.

- strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and resolve issues, and;
- superior organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
