Steele Auto Group is seeking a Director of Used Vehicle Strategy to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia!

As the Director of Used Vehicle Strategy, you will oversee Steele Auto Group’s performance in the used vehicle sector. You will drive strategic initiatives in procurement, internal management, and marketing across our dealership network. This role involves managing budgets, implementing best practices, and spearheading new programs to boost revenue, productivity, and performance. Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 Annually

Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

  • Establish and drive the vision of Steele Auto Group’s Used Retail Operation.
  • Optimize used vehicle inventory through strategic development and implementation.
  • Manage both internal and external actions efficiently.
  • Craft effective marketing strategies for SAG used vehicles.
  • Innovate processes to enhance group used retail and financial performance.
  • Monitor departmental progress and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement our Used Car Policy for vehicle transfers.
  • Create and execute onboarding and training programs for Used Car Managers.
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as auctions and rental companies.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of dealership experience in the used vehicle retail space.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract, updated annually.
  • 5 years management experience in a retail environment demonstrating proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills, focusing on operations and business processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Diplomatic with solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
