Salary range: $ 42,176.04 to $ 47,189.29 annually (prorated to 60%)

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing…

  • Managing budgets and trial balances, creating flyers for advertising workshops, managing workshop participants’ payments/receipts, managing website, managing workshop room bookings, managing center resources and tracking resource loans, answering phones and providing related information, and other sundry clerical duties.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years’ recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10) years of administrative experience.
  • Occupational experience that includes early childhood education would be considered an asset.
  • Occupational experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
  • Front-line customer service role in a post-secondary institution.
  • Operating Point of Sale systems.
  • Handling cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook/email and Microsoft Teams.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
  • Experience in training/facilitation preparation would be considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset
