NB Power In-store Rebates Program; Fall 2024 Retail Campaign in Store Engagement
Position: Energy Efficiency Event Representative
Job Type: Part-time, Contract, Customer Engagement
Event Dates: October 22 – November 9
Hourly Wage/ Pay Structure: $19/hour
Locations: Various Retailers in Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John, NB – event locations are divided by city
Events: See locations and dates at the bottom of the posting for each event – Bilingual in French and English required for Moncton Events #1 and #5

• Job Summary
  Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing, and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.
  We seek outgoing, energetic, and dynamic individuals to join our team as Event Representatives for our latest events in Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John, New Brunswick. The NB Power In-store rebates (from October 22 to December 6) will be promoted in-store at select retailers across the province. The events will take place on various weekends in the campaign period to promote the campaign.
  Summerhill Group delivers NB Power’s In-Store Rebates Program and aims to educate customers and retailers about energy efficiency opportunities, encourage customers to take action by purchasing and installing energy-efficient products, increase demand for energy-efficient products, and increase the availability of energy-efficient products at retailers.
  The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, an enthusiastic disposition, and a genuine interest in the environment and energy conservation.
• Job Responsibilities
  • Educate customers on energy efficiency choices and related product knowledge (training will be provided)
  • Facilitate events at store level
  • Set up and wrap up event/area booth
  • Track program participation and collect customer information electronically and submit all reporting to the appropriate lead in a timely fashion
  • Receive event materials
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Attend paid training (Mandatory)
• Job Qualifications/ Requirements
  • Knowledge of email and Internet applications
  • Written skills; ability to log information accurately
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable talking to new people and adjusting communication style as needed
  • Strong verbal communication – see store events at the bottom of the posting, as some require candidates to be bilingual in French and English
  • Able to remain in a stationary position for the duration of the shift (typically 6 hours)
  • Access to a computer with internet
  • Friendly and professional manner and appearance
  • CSA footwear is required for all Home Depot locations
• Working Conditions
  • Move equipment and materials weighing up to 20lbs, during the set and takedown of the event
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the duration of the shift
• Shift Times
  9:30-10am Set-up (30 Min)
  10 am-3 pm Event (5 Hours)
  3:00-3:15 pm Take-down (15 Min)
  Reporting at home after each shift (15 Min)
  Region: Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John, New Brunswick
