Lakehead Freightways Full Time Permanent Truck Driver

Lakehead Freightways is looking for a full-time, permanent truck driver at their Wawa, Ontario location. This position requires a flexible person to do local, national, and international routes.

Requirements:
AZ licence with air brake endorsement
2 years AZ driving experience
English language skills
A clean driving abstract
An acceptable criminal record check
W/Fast Card (or willing/able to get)
Experience with transporting dangerous goods
Duties:
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Transport and handle dangerous goods
Professionalism in customer service
