AZ Driver and DZ Driver

Semple Gooder Roofing Corporation, a large roofing contractor, is hiring an AZ / DZ truck driver to start immediately. Short haul / local deliveries (within the Greater Toronto Area).

Position Requirements
• AZ or DZ License required
• Must have 5 Years of Experience
• AZ Driver must be able to drive trucks with manual transmission
• Must have clean driving abstract
• Must be able to pass a road test
• Physical lifting
• Good Communication Skills
• Must be able to work as a member of a team
• Must have Steel-toed safety boots
• Must be able to communicate in Portuguese and English

Responsibilities
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo
• Completing all applicable paperwork
• Maintaining up-to date driver log
• Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act

Compensation / Hours:

• Minimum of 40 hours per week (most weeks consist of 44-50 hours and overtime is paid after 44 hours in a work week)
