NIGHT DISPATCHER

Hawks Transportation is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team.

Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will ensure the smooth and timely delivery of loads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatch, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically.

Responsibilities:

Dispatch drivers for deliveries, ensuring efficient routes and timely deliveries
Monitor all incoming calls and prioritize based on urgency and delivery requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including tracking numbers and proof of delivery
Communicate with carriers or drivers regarding any changes or updates to delivery instructions
Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service at all times
Monitor performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with other departments to resolve any delivery-related issues and ensure optimal service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a dispatching or similar role
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills, including experience with logistics software and databases
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
