DZ Driver/Loader

Job description:
We are seeking motivated, hard-working individuals with a valid DZ license to join our team as Drivers/Loaders. Be part of a team that contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable future!

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive & Collect: Operate automatic transmission trucks to collect solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables along assigned routes (routes may vary daily).
• Inspections & Reporting: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete truck reports, route sheets, and all necessary documentation.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues to the mechanic or supervisor immediately.
• Safe Operation: Follow safety protocols to ensure efficient operations and prevent mechanical failures.
• Compliance: Adhere to all national, provincial, and local vehicle operation regulations. Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, inside and out.
• Teamwork: Attend daily safety meetings and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Work Balance: Balance driving and physical labour duties in a 50/50 split.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1-2 years of DZ/AZ driving experience required (no newly licensed drivers).
• License: Valid DZ and/or AZ License with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs regularly.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work in all weather conditions, year-round.
• Equipment Familiarity: Knowledge of collection equipment is a plus.
