Masonry Labourer/Tender

We are a construction company focused on restoration masonry looking for experienced masonry laborers to join our growing team. Operating out of Burlington Ontario, we service the Hamilton/Halton/Peel GTA and Golden Horseshoe areas all year round. We offer competitive wages based on your experience, workmanship, knowledge and a valid driver’s license.

A minimum of 2 years of masonry experience is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities:
– Set up job site and scaffolding and prepare required tools and materials
– Assist with the preparation of concrete and mortar
– Help the mason to lay stones, bricks, blocks, and several other materials to form structures
– Ensure that surfaces are prepared before beginning work
– Mold expansion joints and edges with the use of the necessary tools such as edging tools, jointers, straightedge, and so on
– Mix mortar, grout or cement and move it to the work area
– Cut bricks that are needed for corners, arches, and complex patterns
– Ensure that the required tools needed for a job or project are ready and well-kept after the job
– Clean up job site and break down scaffolding upon job completion
– Operate company vehicles safely
– Take required safety & trade training courses (at the company’s expense)
– Occasionally perform emergency work, including board ups
– Any and all other tasks & operations which may be assigned
– Adhere to Kaboom Masonry’s Health and Safety Policies
– Ability to lift 80 lbs

Other Requirements:
– Legally eligible to work in Canada
– Own transportation to shop in Burlington
– Minimum 2 years masonry experience
– Valid G Driver’s license
– Ability to work in a team focused environment
– Great work ethic
