Construction Laborer

Hiring Construction Worker for one of our clients in Scarborough, ON.

Fluent in English
Must have a G license and a vehicle

Responsibilities:

• Ability to do physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, lengthy standing or walking, or pushing or hauling large objects or supplies
• Help with insulation, plasterboard, tape and mud, steel stud framing, wood framing, painting and plasterboard.
• Demolition, finishing cement, restoring concrete, and removing forms.
• Understanding of the procedures, techniques, machinery, supplies, and tools utilized on a building site.
• Use heavy equipment
• Participate in site inspections and actively promote the development of an onsite culture of health and safety by setting an example for others.
• Obey supervisory orders to carry out manual labor responsibilities
• Make sure to clean and properly store all tools and equipment for construction.
• Observe directions and work both individually and as a team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Construction experience (1-3 years)
• Valid G license with clean abstract and vehicle
• Must have valid work permit
• Other valid health and safety certifications will be an asset
• Experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing will be an asset
• Must have knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Confidence to practice safe work procedures and comfortable working at heights

Job type: Full-time

Shifts: Monday-Friday

Pay rate: $22-25/hr
