Parts Shipper Receiver/ Parts Advisor

Our client in the transportation industry is seeking a Shipper Receiver to join their team. As a Shipper Receiver , you will be part of the Parts department supporting the Parts Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently or in a team setting, and experience with shipping/receiving products and driving forklifts which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Parts Shipper Receiver/ Parts Advisor

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Pay Range: $18-$20/hour

What’s the Job?

  • Performs shipping/receiving duties and accurately tracks shipments.
  • Ensures all products received are properly identified and verifies quantity and quality of goods received.
  • Puts away stock in warehouse correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensures proper documentation of packing slips and receiving paperwork.
  • Assists with loading/unloading of vans/trucks as necessary.

What’s Needed?

  • 2 years of experience with shipping/receiving products and driving forklifts.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving abstract.
  • Flexibility required to work overtime as may be required.
  • Physical requirements – frequent sitting, standing, bending, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong Communication Skills – Written, Verbal, Interpersonal, and Phone
  • The ability to deal professionally and tactfully with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Previous experience in an auto or truck dealership is an asset.
  • Minimum age 21.
