Lead Foreman – Snow Removal & Landscape Maintenance (Seasonal & Permanent)

Work Term: Seasonal and Permanent positions available

Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Foreman with extensive experience in snow removal and landscape maintenance to oversee our crews in both seasonal and permanent roles. The Lead Foreman will manage daily operations, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to motivate and manage a team.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in snow removal, landscape maintenance, and supervisory roles is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead by example, make critical decisions on-site, and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to specification.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in snow removal and landscape maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role
Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract; a background check and drug test may be required
Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage crews effectively

Work Conditions:
Work Environment: Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions (wet, cold, noisy, dusty, etc.)
Transportation: Public transportation is not available; own vehicle and valid driver’s license required
Locations: Commercial settings across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of snow removal and landscape maintenance workers
Plan and organize daily tasks for the crew, ensuring efficient workflow
Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to delegate tasks and ensure proper execution of jobs
Operate snow removal equipment, including plows, sweepers, and blowers, when necessary
Oversee and conduct pre-operational checks
Ensure timely and effective snow removal and landscape maintenance, prioritizing safety and quality
Perform site inspections to ensure work meets company standards
Prepare and submit daily reports, including progress, challenges, and completed tasks
Train and mentor crew members to maintain high performance and safety standards
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of equipment and PPE
Communicate with management and clients regarding project updates and any issues on-site
