Job Title: Security Guard
Job Overview:
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring surveillance equipment, patrolling the property, controlling access, and responding to security breaches. The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, a strong understanding of security protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure the security of premises and protection of people and property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems for any unusual activities.
• Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report irregularities.
• Control access to buildings, check identification, and manage visitor logs.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify any potential security risks or breaches.
• Prepare and submit reports on daily activities and any incidents that occur.
• Assist in emergency situations, including fire evacuations or medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and act in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or a related field).
• Previous experience in a security role is preferred.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in the use of surveillance systems and other security technologies.
• Certification in first aid
