Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic Assistant to support our maintenance team with the repair, installation, and upkeep of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with basic tools, a willingness to learn, and the ability to assist senior mechanics in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist maintenance mechanics with the installation, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, including lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and cleaning mechanical components.
Support troubleshooting and diagnostics for mechanical issues under the supervision of senior mechanics.
Assist in the installation and assembly of new machinery or equipment as required.
Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities to senior mechanics or supervisors.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with inventory management of parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance tasks.
Maintain records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
Perform additional duties as required, supporting overall maintenance operations.
Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in a maintenance or mechanical support role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools).
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team setting.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
Good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Forklift license or experience (a plus).
Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
