Position: Coordinator of Programming for Youth and Young Families at St. Paul’s United Church, Dundas

Ideal candidate is an enthusiastic ECE or equivalent educator with a Christian background.

St. Paul’s is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic team member to prepare and gather materials and pre-planned curriculum required to run our Young Christian Community programs. As Coordinator of Programming for Youth and Young Families at St Paul’s you will be working with children aged 0-teenager and their families. You will recruit and support congregational and/or parent/guardian volunteers to help you carry out your work. You will work with ministerial staff and other staff to ensure your programming aligns with the United Church of Canada’s beliefs and values. Larger scale programming such as coordinating our pageant, picnics, community work with families, family gatherings, etc. will also fall under your role. Typical work hours are flexible but required hours are during Sunday mornings on a weekly basis to join the children for Children’s Time during the service, to carry out the YCC programming and its clean up, as well as on Friday evenings on a monthly basis for youth group and/or Friday Family Fun Nights (potlucks, movies, games nights, etc). Providing updates and reports for newsletters and committee meetings will be required on occasion and the writing of these are included in the hours allotted. You will report to the Ministry and Personnel Committee, as well as to The Board and The Christian Development Committee.

Remuneration Details:

14 hrs a week, $23.86/hr for 2024/2025 school year with up to 5 additional hours of paid professional development available. Includes benefits after a probationary period of 3 months. Contract position but renewable for the following school year if both parties are in agreement.
