As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring that high-quality care and education is provided to all children. You will lead a team of educators, providing guidance and support to ensure a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

This position is a temporary contract position to cover for maternity leave. Contract will be for 12 months with potential to increase to 18 months.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Ensure center complies with the Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Act
-Oversee all payroll hours
-Child Registrations and Enrollments and Tours
-Oversee programming content and age appropriateness of programming
-Foster an environment that respects children’s strengths rights and needs
-Maintain accurate records on each child; including medical, consent forms, attendance records.
-Lead staff by motivating, mentoring and coaching
-Identify training and professional development opportunities for staff
-Manage logistic elements of staffing
-Reviews daycares finances and accounting
-Maximize enrolments through marketing
-Maintenance of quality and raise the standards of the center
-Pursue alternate grants from government where applicable
-Assist day to day activities in the classrooms
-Assist the Educators and Assistants where needed
-Support a positive team morale centrewide

Required Skills and Abilities:

-Excellent Leadership and Management Skills
-Computer Proficiency in Microsoft, Excel, Outlook
-Ability to delegate responsibilities where appropriate
-Strong verbal and written communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills
-Time Management and organizational abilities
-Experience with Child Reporting Software programs (HiMama, Parent App, Lillio)
