Poultry Farm Worker

As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of poultry. Your role will include feeding, watering, monitoring health, and maintaining a clean environment for the birds. This position is essential to ensuring the overall well-being of the poultry and the efficiency of the farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Feeding and Watering: Ensure that all poultry receive the appropriate amount of feed and clean water daily.
– Health Monitoring: Observe birds for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the farm manager.
– Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean barns, coops, and equipment to maintain hygiene and prevent disease.
– Egg Collection: Collect eggs (if applicable) and ensure proper storage.
– Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, egg production, and health observations.
– Assisting with Breeding: Help with breeding and incubation processes as required.
– General Farm Maintenance: Assist with farm maintenance tasks, including repairs and equipment upkeep.
– Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and animal welfare guidelines.

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
– Previous experience in poultry farming or animal husbandry is a plus.
– Basic understanding of animal care and poultry management.
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

– Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
– May require early morning or weekend shifts.

Compensation: $20.00 / hour
