Aramark is recruiting a Housekeeping and Facility Site Manager for a retirement residence located in Amherstview, ON.  The facility accommodates 120 residents residing in either Independent Living or Assisted Living. The Housekeeping and Facility Site Manager will plan, organize, direct and control all aspects of housekeeping services for the facility.

Job Responsibilities

?    Direct and administer housekeeping programs and 9 staff members to maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion in adherence to all facility policies and best practices
?    Establish housekeeping standards and develop work schedules for all areas of the facility.
?    Initiate and direct training programs to demonstrate new equipment and cleaning methods to staff
?    Ensure the continuity of the management systems, software programs, and evolving standards 
?    Develop and hold department accountable to the departmental Quality Assurance program
?    Evaluate new processes and cleaning products/equipment and make recommendations for purchase. Ensure proper use of the cleaning products and equipment 
?    Establish and continually appraise requirements for staff, physical facilities, equipment, and supplies to consistently achieve quality and safety standards
?    Prepare a departmental budget for staffing, supply and equipment needs; complete operations reports as required 
?    Regularly evaluate and ensure that approved budget guidelines are followed and achieved

Qualifications

?    3-5 years experience in a similar role in senior living or a healthcare centre is preferred
?    Education in Environmental Services, Infection Control procedures or a Housekeeping Program 
?    Sufficient knowledge of Housekeeping and Waste Management Laws and Regulations
?    Thorough understanding of cleaning chemical agent usage, WHMIS and OHS regulations
?    Understanding PIDAC best practices for infection prevention and control is required
?    Must possess above average Information Systems skills and financial acumen for reporting and 
?    budgetary requirements
?    Effective verbal and written communication skills for employee selection, orientation, management, evaluations, and reporting to key stake holders 
?    Attention to detail in order to inspect and uphold cleaning standards
?    Must possess the ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in the area
