Live-in Companion and Care attendant for Senior Person

What You Will Do:
• Provide companionship and basic household tasks for medically stable client
• Perform basic meal preparation and light housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, taking out the
garbage, doing client’s laundry. Sweeping and vacuuming within the client’s immediate living area may
be required.
• Provide respite for medically stable patients while the primary caregiver is out of the home.
• Maintain awareness of patient’s abilities, current diagnosis made by medical professionals, diet,
personal interests and special needs

Qualifications or Skills Required:
• Must be eligible and have the documentation to work in Canada (client is not looking to sponsor)
• Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• More than 12 months of experience in a similar role
• Compassionate individual with a passion for helping others
• Ability to interact with others in a caring, courteous and tactful manner
• Communicate effectively following written and verbal instructions
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout the workday
• Ability to speak other languages will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of medical equipment is considered an asset (blood pressure machine, oximeter, and/or
the ability to learn these skills) an asset
• Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset

Work Setting:
• Working in clients home
• Client is environmentally sensitive (no perfumes)
• No smoking on premise

Other Information:
• This is a contract position and compensation will ‘not’ be paid in cash
• Senior Care Company ‘Direct Funding’ will be established in the nest new few months to benefit care
giver
