Our client in the energy industry is seeking a Field Operator to join their team. As a Field Operator, you will be part of the operations team supporting Gas Storage Facility. The position is camp-based, and the successful candidate will be required to stay in camp for an 8-day on and 6-day off shift with the potential of it going to a 7-day on 7-day off 12 hr a day shift rotation in fall of 2024.

Pay Range: $54/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Operate the existing equipment at the Gas Storage Facility safely to ensure all required daily demands are met.
  • Support the area supervisor and operations coordinator to operate both the field and plant equipment to ensure all nominations are delivered, and execute all assigned daily operations tasks.
  • Utilize field and plant operations experience and technical knowledge to solve work-related problems and/or collaborate and refer to others. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace for staff in order to meet health, safety and emergency requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to safe work procedures and practices including Site Safe Work Planning; provide safety information and supplies, including the use personal protective equipment.
  • Participate in incident investigations.

What’s Needed?

  • 1-10 years of previous field and facility operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience (GPO/GFO, 5th Class Power Engineering, 4th Class Power Engineering) Trade (Electrical, Instrumentation, Millwright, Heavy Duty or Gas Fitting) with Field and Facility Maintenance or Construction
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, builders, municipal agencies, emergency response and environmental management personnel.
  • Must be accessible to act as a resource in emergency and operational upset situations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
