Seeking Compassionate Elder Care Provider on Vancouver Island!

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient individual to provide companionship and light assistance to our elderly family member. The ideal candidate will be a kind-hearted person who enjoys spending time with seniors, engaging in conversation, and providing emotional support. This position is perfect for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older adult on a part time basis.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly companionship and social interaction
• Engage in conversation, read aloud, or participate in light activities (e.g. reading, television, or walks)
• Assist with light household tasks such as meal preparation, tidying up, and organizing
• Take on short outings or to appointments if necessary
• Monitor general well-being and report any concerns to family members

Qualifications:

• Patience, kindness, and empathy
• Experience working with seniors
• Ability to engage in meaningful conversation and activities
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Willingness to assist with light household duties
• A positive attitude and a calm demeanor
• CPR Certification & any other related Certification

Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, to be discussed based on experience.
