We prioritize safety, quality, and efficiency in every project. We are looking for dedicated General Laborers to join our team, with a focus on asbestos control and demolition tasks.

Job Description:

The General Laborer will play a critical role in the demolition process by performing tasks related to asbestos control and site management. This includes bagging asbestos-containing materials, preparing trucks for hauling, and ensuring the site remains clean and safe. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Bag and properly dispose of asbestos-containing materials according to safety guidelines.
Install bin liners in truck beds for asbestos and debris hauling.
Assist with site cleanup, including removing debris, sweeping, and organizing work areas.
Perform dust suppression measures to minimize airborne particles
Clean up debris of metal for recycling
Sort debris and materials to ensure safe and efficient disposal.
Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling and demolition.
Collaborate with the demolition team to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform other general labor duties as required to support the demolition and asbestos abatement teams.
Clean up equipment- excavators and skid steer
Qualifications:

Experience in demolition or construction work is preferred.
Familiarity with asbestos handling or hazardous materials is an asset, though training will be provided.
Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and work in environments where hazardous materials are present.
Strong work ethic and ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in various weather conditions.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

~ Experience with post-fire demolition projects or asbestos abatement is a plus. (Preferred but not mandatory)
~ Knowledge of Alberta’s health and safety regulations related to hazardous materials.
~Alberta asbestos certification (Preferred but not mandatory)
~Safety certification- CSTS 2020 (Mandatory), WHMIS (Mandatory) and First Aid
