Delivery Driver

MJAS Couriers Inc. is seeking self-employed delivery drivers to join our team in the Ottawa region, covering both urban and rural areas (e.g., Downtown, Plantagenet, Bourget, Orleans, Vars, Stittsville, Barrhaven, Kanata, Carleton Place, Smith Falls, Perth, Pakenham, Arnprior, Gatineau, etc.). We are looking for motivated team players who can learn quickly and work efficiently.
Job Description:
• Inspect, scan, and load packages into your vehicle promptly.
• Deliver packages to customers in accordance with company standards within set time limits.
• Work hours will vary based on route size, area, and weather conditions.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license (Full G license required) with a clean driving record (no major violations).
• Vehicle insurance and registration.
• A smartphone with a sufficient data plan.
• Access to a reliable minivan or cargo van that meets the following criteria:
o Color: white, black, or gray.
o Model year: 2014 or later (2016, 2017, …, 2024).
• Bonus: If you agree to have the company’s decals installed on your vehicle and it qualifies for installation, you will receive a DECAL BONUS on top of your delivery earnings.
Abilities:
• Punctual and responsible.
• Able to handle packages weighing 40 lbs. and above.
• Capable of completing a route with 130-150 stops daily (approximately 140-200 packages).
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions (cold, snow, rain, sun, etc.).
• Previous delivery experience is a major asset but not required.
• All criminal background checks are covered by the company.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Additional Details:
• This is an independent contractor position, so you will be self-employed.
• Weekly pay based on the number of parcels delivered.
• Driver schedules are created weekly based on availability.
